An opportunity exists for a highly motivated refrigeration mechanic to join a major long term contract of the PPP (Public-Private-Partnership) division at Spotless. This position will be based at the Australian National University, located in Acton ACT. 

The Role

The dual trade role of Registered/Licensed Refrigeration Mechanic/Electrician  position is primarily responsible for support to the Service Delivery Manager and Contract Manager in the provision of maintenance activities to the site 24/7. This incorporates, but is not limited to aiding in the installing, operating, repairing and maintaining building, electrical, fire, hydraulic, security and mechanical services within the ANU facilities at Acton.  Primary responsibility lies with managing and maintaining all trade related services.  This position will also act as Team Leader for small projects when required.  A secondary responsibility is to provide assistance in the service delivery of all other aspects of the contract.

This is a day time (M-F) position 38 hours per week and incorporates a weekly ‘On Call’ roster. Some weekend / afterhours work will be required. The remuneration & other allowances is based on the Spotless National Maintenance Agreement. Base wage rate for this position $84,987 plus SGC.


  • Be registered/licenced in the dual trades
  • Hold suitable post trade qualifications
  • Have a minimum 5 years’ commercial experience
  • Be prepared to undertake a police background check
  • Be prepared to attend a pre-employment medical and drug test
  • Be able to obtain & maintain a Working With Vulnerable People clearance
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
